Senior Art Director

Overview: 

The Senior Art Director will work closely with Clients, Creative team members, Strategists, and Account Leads, to provide excellent creative execution and service to all clients. You will be the creative lead who leads, creates, and executes innovative ideas across different platforms and channels, including digital display, video, print, presentations, websites, emails, live events, retail, etc. The primary focus will be presenting/discussing creative with Clients, creating assets, contributing to brainstorms, and helping achieve client objectives with great brand relevant work.

It’s a dynamic job. One day you may be concepting ideas for a new business pitch or new product launch assets. The next, you can be editing a photo or video project. Thus, you’ll need to be an expert in multiple facets of the creative process — and the creative industry — in order to produce the best work. Doing so means being an art director, designer, photographer, videographer, editor, and team leader, all in one.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have a positive attitude, be resourceful, and believe that there are multiple ways to create the best Client work possible, through partnering with the Clients.

What you’ll do:

Project Management

• Project manage the team for all owned creative deliverables and be sure that you meet all deadlines
• Manage quick turnaround times & robust volume of content via efficient processes
• Execute high-quality creative work and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, excellence, and accountability

Creative Execution

• Develop and create work of the highest caliber to achieve Client objectives
• Contribute to concepting/brainstorms for your owned Clients that capitalize on social media platform updates and pop culture trends
• Participate in the pitch, when needed, to sell creative ideas to Clients.
• Determine all creative resources 
• Develop original concepts designed to meet clients’ strategic objectives & brand standards
• Stay up-to-date on trends to discover and pitch opportunities for new content concepts for existing clients
• Be responsible for all phases of creative work from concept through production
• Understand performance-driven digital creative

Client Services / New Business

• Contribute to the creative stage of the proposal process by providing ideas and graphics to the new business team in a timely manner.
• Participate in the pitch, when needed, to sell creative ideas.

What you’d need to succeed:

• 5-8 years of digital marketing & programmatic media creative experience
• Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to multitask, set priorities, and take initiative
• MUST be a strong, self-starter adept at independent problem-solving
• MUST have a can-do and positive attitude
• MUST be able to absorb feedback and work with Clients to deliver their vision while also adhering to what is great work that follows best practices
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, startup or agency
• Previous remote team management experience
• Understanding of marketing strategies and analytics
• The ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately within Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Experience working with presentation software such as Google Slides, Keynote and PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of digital media platforms and trends in design for FB/IG/Google/Twitter/LinkedIn/Pinterest/TikTok, etc.
• Detail-oriented + have a strong ability to prioritize work and resources
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Have excellent presentation and communication abilities
• Meet 100% of client deadlines
• 80% of clients renew contracts
